Lebanon occupied a strip of land at the east end of the Mediterranean.
It is a wonderful little country; it is a land of legend and history, poetry and art, health and recreation.
Lebanon boasts of some of the oldest and most magnificent ruins in the world, in addition, this country takes pride in its famous cedars
This beautiful locality is also a famous, ski resort, a ski lift and two good hotels make the tourist's visit very agreeable and other entertainments in Beirut.
You find a large number of international clubs in addition to numerous local sporting and musical clubs in Beirut's air conditioned motion picture halls the best American, English and European films are shown, during the summer months, one may have the unique opportunity of listening to world famous orchestras or attending classical plays in the open air theatre of Baal beck .
Lebanon is rightly called the " Switzerland of the east " its wonderful climate , the abundance of excellent water , the fascinating scenery and the large number of first class hotels attract tens of thousands of summer reporters and winter sports amateurs from all over the world tennis tournaments , flower festivals , water sports , automobile and cycle races , beauty queen election and many other activities also take place during the summer season .
These serve to attract thousands of summer reporters from the surrounding Arab countries and the other parts of the world Lebanon for who seek health and recreation and like to enjoy the wonders of nature.
